It’s March! That means one thing for college basketball fans: the madness is about to ensue. While everyone else is meticulously filling out their March Madness brackets, you’re planning epic suite entertainment in a March Madness suite.

March Madness suites are a slam dunk when it comes to planning both business bashes and personal events. The exciting atmosphere and friendly competition combined with the luxury of premium seating is sure to create memories that last. Here’s a quick breakdown of the “madness” as well as some tidbits about experiencing the action from a suite.

March Madness- How it Works

March Madness captivates its fan following from the third week of March to the first week of April. The tournament, sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) consists of 64 eager teams competing in single-elimination match ups determined by the team’s seed. (or rank)

The initial four days of the tournament constitute the first two rounds. At the conclusion of these rounds, a total of 48 teams are sent back to campus while the 16 winners are off to compete in the Sweet Sixteen. The Sweet Sixteen becomes the Elite Eight which is shaved down to the Final Four, with one team from each division ( East, West, South, and Midwest) competing for the coveted championship title.

Games taking place at the same venue are deemed “sessions.” There are three sessions leading up to the Sweet Sixteen, two taking place on the first day of the tournament and third taking place two days following. Each session generally includes two games.

So you chose to experience the buzzer beaters, Cinderella stories, and unbelievable upsets from a seat in a March Madness suite? To sit among the passionate fans without being TOO close to them? We support your choice! Here are some things you should know about living the Suite Life during March Madness:

March Madness Suite Prices

Thinking about swiping your credit card to experience epic entertainment? March Madness suites are generally sold one of two ways. Either the suite is sold for one session and all games within the session are included or the suite is sold for all games. March Madness suite prices will vary greatly based on the venue and whether all sessions are included. A suite will often range from $8,000-$20,000 for all three sessions.

March Madness Suite Catering

Having food and drinks waiting for your guests in the suite is a surefire way to spice up your event. When catering for your March Madness suite, an order will normally last for all games in a session, while separate orders must be placed for each session. Keep in mind that due to NCAA rules, suites are able to place an alcohol pre-order but NO alcohol may be ordered at the game. That’s a refreshing benefit of witnessing March Madness from a suite! Food on the game day menu can be replenished as need be.

March Madness Suite Access

Both games within a session will take place on the same day and the lucky ones that secured a suite for the session will be allowed access throughout. If two sessions take place on the same day, suite guests will only be allowed access during the session they purchased and will have to vacate the suite during the remaining session. At most venues, attendees may make their way through their private suite entrance up to 1.5 hours before the game and stay 30 minutes following.
